The collections

Three collections, one preservation standard.

Each collection is mirrored from its original federal or institutional source with full provenance on every item. Counts are live from archive.org.

National Jukebox Mirror

Acoustic-era commercial sound recordings (1897 through 1925), digitized by the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation from the recorded-sound collections of Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group. Every disc entered the public domain under the Music Modernization Act (17 U.S.C. § 1401).

Our mirror captures the LOC-served MP3 bit-exact: no reprocessing, no normalization. Each item records its matrix/take number, label, catalog record link, and, where the LOC catalog holds sibling takes or related issues, cross-references to them.
